Barmon Stretch Mark Cream

Barmon Inc. is synonymous with the stretch cream it is known for. The product has been on the market and virtually unchanged for over 30 years. Barmon’s cream contains three main active ingredients – cocoa butter for moisturizing the skin, wheat germ oil, containing Vitamin E, which stimulates the production of skin cells, and lanolin, which helps absorption into the deeper layers of the skin.

Barmon claims that the cream is all natural and not made with any animal byproducts. It claims that it is not only safe for women who are breastfeeding and wish to use it immediately after giving birth, but safe to use during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks from developing at all.

Barmon’s stretch mark cream formula was recently updated making it less greasy and more easily absorbed. Barmon recommends it be applied twice daily, usually in the morning and evening before bed. The company offers a money back guarantee for up to three tubes stating that if you are not satisfied you can return the unused portion for a full refund. The company does state that unhealthy habits such as smoking, consuming alcohol regularly, or sunbathing, will slow down or decrease results.

Reviews of Barmon’s stretch mark cream are generally positive in relation to the cream itself, and state that noticeable results were seen. A few reviews talk about some minor skin irritation and others state that its ingredients are very similar to cheaper products found in drugstores.

One note of concern for consumers to be aware of is that Barmon does utilize Parabens as an inactive ingredient in its products for use as a preservative. Parabens, in certain amounts, have been linked to Cancer by the FDA. Barmon does not list the level of Parabens its products contain on either the packaging or website.

Barmon Vitamin K Cream

Barmon’s newest product is its vitamin K cream, designed to help heal spider veins, bruises, burns, scars, eczema, and psoriasis.  Its active ingredient is 5% pharmaceutical grade vitamin K. This product is said to be all natural, safe, and containing no animal byproducts. The maker recommends using the cream twice per day until the veins or other marks disappear, and then using it once per day, three times a week, to prevent them from coming back.

Barmon also offers its money back guarantee on this product. Although the Barmon website has posted several positive testimonials, no unbiased web reviews could be located for Barmon’s Vitamin K cream.

Barmon Company Reviews

While Barmon’s products generally have received mostly positive reviews from satisfied customers, and both the company itself and its stretch mark cream have stood the test of time, Barmon’s customer service has recently come under attack. Consumers claim that Barmon’s shipping of products takes an excessively long time and many orders were missing items once received.

They also state that the company, while offering a money back guarantee, has not always offered the refund they said they would. When customers have attempted to contact the company several have found that it was hard to get a person on the phone to speak to.

These claims are supported by the Better Business Bureau, which rates Barmon an F on a scale of A to F. It also states that, of ten complaints filed in the last 36 months, two went completely unresolved. For this reason, buyers should be aware that while the product itself is generally recommended you may want to proceed at your own risk when dealing directly with the company.
