SciVation's product list is fairly modest in terms of the number of products offered, with several dozen choices of typical bodybuilding supplements. For example, you can find whey proteins, fat burners, muscle building supplements, diuretics, general nutritional products, and even sleep aids.

The SciVation online store also features a promotional trading video, two kinds of T-shirts, and a hooded sweatshirt.

The company's pricing structure is what you would typically expect from this type of supplement manufacturer. Prices range from $9.99 for a basic T-shirt to $94.99 for a 10lb. container of their whey protein powder.

For those who are not into bodybuilding or nutritional supplements as such, SciVation's prices probably seem extremely high. But compared to other companies selling similar products, they're not that much more expensive. Nutritional supplements cost money; that's just the way it is.

SciVation Scientific Data

Although SciVation has won three separate awards - 2008 Glutamine Supplement of the Year and Recovery Supplement of the Year for 2009 and 2010 - their claims of a scientific basis for their products is not supported by any specific materials we could find.

That's not to say SciVation is not telling the truth, it's just that they do not share the material with their customers. This is certainly one area where SciVation could be stronger.

Many of SciVation’s competitors provide details on scientific data along with links to where the data is published and information about the researchers involved.

The reason we mention this lies in the fact that anyone can state their supplements are scientifically based.  Since nutritional supplements are not regulated by the FDA, and the statements they make are not evaluated by any government institutions, unless their statements can be proven to be patently false they are allowed to say whatever they want without question.

Therefore, there are many nutritional supplement manufacturers that have no problem making scientific claims but never back them up with any real evidence.

SciVation Website

In fairness, it must be mentioned that the SciVation website is undergoing a redesign. While the old website may not contain any information about scientific testing that's not to say the information will not be available on the new SciVation site.

There's no indication when the new SciVation site will be ready, but until then users can continue to use the old one. That being said, let's stop and take a look for a moment at what the old SciVation website does look like.

The old SciVation site is one that is typical of nutritional supplement manufacturers. It features a limited amount of information about their products, a few testimonials and small articles, a few photographs, and an online shopping cart.

The SciVation website utilizes the typical sleek graphics, normal industry speak, and a color scheme and layout that would appeal to their target audience. The site is very easy to navigate and loads quickly in most modern web browsers.

SciVation Retail Outlets

SciVation's website does list a very impressive group of American and international retailers and distributors. From this list we can discern that their products are available around the world in places like Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Indian Ocean region, Australia, South America, and Canada.

The U.S. is by far the largest market, which is to be expected, and several big name retailers are on board. Examples of those retailers include GNC, the Vitamin Shop, and bodybuilding.com.

The SciVation website lists no fewer than four dozen online retailers that also carry SciVation products. In addition to their international distributors, there are enough outlets for SciVation products that you should have no trouble finding them.

The only question that remains is which of these outlets has the best pricing structure and shipping policies. SciVation gives no indication of any type of money back guarantee, meaning consumers will have to check with their retailer to find out if they offer one.
