The majority of the products sold by Setwear are gloves. In addition to gloves, they also sell back belts to protect the back while working and they sell tool belts, knee pads, safety glasses and more.

If you visit the Setwear website, you will not find the products categorized in any way nor can you filter their selection of products to only include the type of products that you are interested in buying. However, most of the products are with each other. For example, first you see the gloves, then the tool belts, then the safety glasses and so on.

Setwear Product Details

The problem that we found with the details for the products sold by Setwear is that there are none. What we mean by this is that if you are interested in knowing what materials are used to make these gloves, then you aren’t going to find them.

They don’t provide any really important information on their website that can help you make a decision about the products that you are considering buying. Of course, you know that a leather glove is most likely made of leather, at least to some degree, but outside of that, the information is minimal.

While there is a good photo of each of the products sold by Setwear, there isn’t any information that might help you to determine how good, or bad, the gloves might be for you in terms of comfort. Most people do prefer knowing what materials their gloves are made from.

Another important piece of information that is missing is information about the fit of the gloves. If you select a product, for example, the EZ-Fit Glove, then you will be presented with the information that this glove has the Setwear easy fit feature. The problem is, they don’t actually describe what that means on their website.

Setwear does provide a sizing chart for choosing the correct glove size so that you can order online and be somewhat confident about the fit that you are getting.

• In order to measure your hand, (sizes are available from XS to XXL), you have to print out a hand measurer and place your hand on it. The sizing is based on the width of your hand, not the length of your fingers.
• Another issue that we discovered is that they don’t tell you how large of a person their tool belts accommodate. They provide two sizes small/medium and large/Xlarge.
• The small/medium is for waist sizes 32” and smaller and the large/Xlarge is for 33” and higher.  However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the tool belt can accommodate someone with a 52” waist, for example.

Much like with the gloves, the information on how the belts are made and what they are made from is not present on the website. This leaves you having to guess based on what you are seeing in the photo.

Setwear Product Guarantee

When we went online and searched for Setwear products, we found that they are a very popular option for people who work with their hands. However, one area where they appear to be lacking is with their money back guarantee.

Setwear claims to offer a warranty for their products, but if you look closely, you will find that their warranty is only for 30 days.  The warranty is void if the product tags are removed, if they have any blemishes on them from being used and so on.

Buying Setwear Products

The internet makes it very easy to purchase Setwear products even if they don’t have a presence in your area. However, you do want to ensure that you shop around for the products that they offer so that you can get the best price.

If you try to buy products directly from Setwear, you will be redirected to a new website. This website doesn’t have any further information about the products offered by Setwear; in fact, they have less information.

Instead of providing you with a sizing chart, you need to know already what size you need for your gloves because you won’t be able to measure you hand for size once you are redirected to the website where you can make a purchase.

If you want to visit a dealer that sells Setwear products, then you will want to visit the Setwear website and click on the link for find a dealer. They have two options in this area, Setwear USA and Setwear Worldwide. All you have to do is select the link that is relevant to you.

Setwear Quality

While we have pointed out some negatives about the Setwear website, this shouldn’t be a reflection on the company. We found hundreds of online reviews about the products offered by Setwear and people really like their products. You can find people who credit their Setwear gloves for saving their fingers when an accident occurred.

Our only recommendation is that if you are going to purchase gloves form Setwear that you find a local dealer so, at the very least, you can try on the gloves and/or belts to ensure that you get the perfect fit for them before you buy.
