  • Chris Ryan
    •Trainer on NBC's STRONG •NYC-based Fitness Expert •Wilhelmina Model •CSCS •NSCA-CPT •CrossFit L-1 •USAW L-1 •Div 1 Athlete

Chris Ryan has dedicated his life to fitness and inspiring others to be the best versions of themselves. He is a father and a husband first and foremost but also lives a very busy life; constantly trying to mesh his personal/business/fitness schedules together.

He understands what you are going through. Family. Finances. Health. Business. Those are all the most important things to any person, but he also knows that you have to work on yourself first before you can be the best for the ones you love. He believes the average person can give themselves and their family so much more with a few days of training a week.

Chris's extensive fitness career began in college, competing as a Division 1 athlete, which catapulted into a career as one of America's foremost fitness experts. He appeared on NBC's STRONG as one of the top 10 trainers in America; has appeared on the cover of Men's Fitness 3 times as well as in the pages of countless other magazines (Men's Health, Women's Health, Shape, Reader's Digest, Men's Journal, GQ amongst them) both as a writer/fitness expert and fitness model. He has modeled for some of the biggest names in fitness and fashion: Nike, Under Armor, Everlast, Reebok, Cybex, Hugo Boss to name a few. He is a passionate entrepreneur in the health and fitness world who has worked on consulting projects with everybody from Ralph Lauren to JCrew to BeachBody to The Fit Expo.

He has been contacted many times over the years to train clients all over the world and was only able to do so on a one-off, time permitting basis. He saw a market need to take his knowledge to the masses and share his passion for fitness. The ChrisRyanFitness app was developed by him with his various training programs serving specific market niches to help thousands of people worldwide be the best versions of themselves.

Chris lives in NYC with his wife, Denise, and two young children, Achilles and Athena. Yes, Chris changes a lot of dirty diapers and has many sleepless nights, but wouldn't change it for the world.

Why Join

Average isn't you. It never has been. Sometime ago society started labeling the "dadbod" as the new average. A slight paunch here, a little extra jiggle there. If it's good for Leonardo DiCaprio it's good for you. Really? "Don't worry," you think, “it's perfectly normal. I work a lot, have to provide for my family (or my future family). Besides, this is just what happens as you age. All my buddies look the same." I call bullshit.

It's an epidemic fellas. I’m not saying you need to have a ripped six-pack and pecs of steel (that would be awesome though) but I am saying you owe it to yourself, hell you owe it to your family to be THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF! So what’s the best version of you look like to me? For starters, I want you to have more energy...for everything! I want you to look proud and assertive when you give your next presentation, show your kids how strong dad is and crank out pull-ups on the monkey bars at their next park visit and throw them on your shoulders when they get too tired for the walk home. Remember, you are the strongest man in the world in their eyes! Let’s live up to that. I want you to crush a home run in your company softball game and I want your friends to be envious when you take off your shirt at the next neighborhood pool party. I want you to be an all-star on the field, in the boardroom and of course in the bedroom! That’s what I see as the best version of yourself.

My goal is to have you compete in the game of life as best you can. Feel fulfilled and be the man you are supposed to be, not the one that society says it's "ok" to be. Screw that. You want to be just ok? Stop reading right now. Seriously. Go on with your life exactly as it is. No one will judge you; you will fit in with all the other guys who are just average. However, if you want to kick “average” in the ass, then the DadBod 2.0 is just what you need.

I developed the DadBod 2.0 training program to effectively train men from all over the world to be the best version of themselves. No gimmicks. No fad diets. No two hour long workout sessions. Every workout is as simple as it is effective. Quick. Intense. Manageable. Just like your life should be. The DadBod 2.0 training program is here to show you the way. Are you ready for the journey?

Look at yourself in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Take your shirt off now. How do you look? More importantly, how do you FEEL? Do you wake up feeling like you are going to crush the world each day, or do you feel lethargic...like there is something more out there for you?

The War Between Testosterone and Estrogen

Somewhere along your life's journey, something happened. The law of averages gave you the "freshman 15" that somehow was still around when you received your college diploma; the after work drinks and that endless expense account padded on a few extra pounds here and there too. Then your metabolism started to slow; some due to the natural occurrence of aging, but mostly due to the lack of muscle and the addition of fat stores.

That's right. You have been telling your body for years now to not only lower your testosterone levels but also raise your estrogen levels. Screw thousands of years of evolution our ancestors have taught us, let alone basic science. Yes, muscle does burn fat! It's time to tell “Father Time” to take a hike for a few decades, build more muscle and make those extra fat cells quiver for comfort. Shed that dadbod. DadBod 2.0 is here!

Are You A "Sexual Tyrannosaurus"

One of my favorite movie lines was the "sexual tyrannosaurus" one Blain, aka Jesse Ventura, said in "Predator." Two words, but they pretty much sum up the locker room talk for us. Seriously though, how is your sex life? Do you wake up each morning cocked and ready? Average guy doesn’t, but DadBod 2.0 guys sure do! Major studies have been done on this and have found that it’s actually abnormal not to wake up in an aroused state for guys well into their 30s, 40s and even 50s. Culprits: inactivity, hypertension, being overweight, lack of blood flow, etc.

You have more inside of you. We need to ignite that burning desire; that one given to you at birth to lead, be strong, be great and provide your best self for your loved ones. You can either ignore it or nurture it. DadBod 2.0 is here to help you grow it to a towering inferno that fires you up and makes you the best version of yourself! Every damn day. That's what being a man is all about. That's what I’m here for. To unleash your FULL potential. As the man you are. The man you were born to be.

"That's Easy For You To Say Chris"

I recently had a major back spasm. The day after it happened, I woke up in excruciating pain. I couldn't lift our baby daughter out of her bassinet, let alone throw our two year old son on my shoulders for our normal Saturday morning walks. He just looked at me like "dad wtf?" Seriously, there is nothing more sad than not being able to lift my 37lb toddler up on my shoulders and seeing that look in his eyes.

I couldn't even help my wife do any simple chores around the house. I was miserable and useless. At some point my wife made me laugh (a great woman knows just what you need and when you need it). She said to me "well, thank God you are not always like this." And that stuck with me. A couple PT sessions later and I was totally fine and back to playing with my kids, crushing workouts and yes, helping my wife out with those chores. However, what she said stuck with me. I thought about it in more detail: As a fitness expert, as a husband, and as a father.

I feel for the man that is not at his best physically because he will never be the best for himself mentally and spiritually. Never the best for his spouse. For his family. And most importantly for himself. If you can't be the best version of yourself for YOU, then you will never be the best version of yourself for ANYONE else.

Who Wants More?

You do. If you read this far, you truly do want more. I am proud as hell of you! Your time is now. Being "average" was never in the cards for you. The past is exactly that, the past. Only the future matters now. You ARE going to be the best version of yourself with the DadBod 2.0 training program.

Don’t worry, you won’t be training 7 days a week and living in the gym either. The workouts will be quick and intense; only require 3 days a week of training, with an optional 4th day for the fire breathers (or for when you just need a little more "me" time). The DadBod 2.0 training program will turn back the clock for you in more ways than one. You will be pumped physically and more importantly, mentally. And I will make damn sure to hold you accountable each step of the way.

You will flourish! Once you step on board, you really have no choice. After all, a man’s reach should exceed his grasp. You have an incredible journey in front of you; one that has no port, no destination; one that will forever keep you at sea testing that all-important facet of life: the daily inquiry into what and who you are. The DadBod 2.0 training program is here to help you answer that question.
