We wanted to give your posterior chain a little rest before mentioning the word deadlift again, but it’s time to tally up the stats from Tony Gentilcore’s Deadlift Battle! The deadlift is an awesome compound movement, and everyone involved worked hard to put in some big-time numbers!

Tony Gentilcore's Battle Recap

We had 7 giveaway winners (WeightTraining.com T-shirt + Wristband) – one for each day of the battle, and also a Grand Prize winner.

CoachA ended up #1 in the battle, with 563,555 total deadlift pounds! BrandonKW was the only other participant to break the half a million pound mark, recording 532,535 pounds of his own!

There were a ton of people who joined in on the action, and although not everyone was aiming for first place, we all were motivated to do a little more than we would have done without the extra group motivation, comments, and high fives throughout!

We tallied up everyone’s totals, and everyone combined lifted over 4 MILLION POUNDS! The exact total was 4,072,441 pounds – awesome lifting, everyone!

Shout out to Tony Gentilcore for sending out the challenge! Thanks to all of you who participated, and we hope you keep up the friendly competition with all of the other battles we’ll continue to have!
