Ah, Monday. It’s the day that taunts us with promises of a new work week while making us feel more like monsters than human beings. You know the feeling: bleary, lifeless eyes, a greenish complexion, stiff arms and legs, and a nail protruding through our foreheads.
Okay, so we may not have a literal nail in our heads (just a caffeine headache), but all of the other symptoms seem pretty accurate, right? So, what’s the cure? A workout!
Today, we have some motivation that will take all those monstrous feelings and turn them into a killer exercise: the Frankenstein squat.
In the video below, Tony Gentilcore dominates the Frankenstein squat and inspires us with his incredible control and phenomenal form!

The Why
Why is he doing this? Here’s what he had to say:
The torso is generally going to be more upright with a front squat (barbell over mid-foot). This is NOT to insinuate that a forward lean is bad (it’s not). The Frankenstein variation can be viewed as an awesome core exercise, in addition to hammering the lower body as well.
