How Carbogen Works

The first of these enzyme groups is called amylase, which are found naturally in the human body. Enzymes in the amylase group are responsible for the breakdown of starches and complex carbohydrates. 

The other two are cellulose and hemicellulase, which are found regularly in the human diet as well as produced by native digestive bacteria. Cellulose and hemicellulase help break down the cell walls in plant cells in other words, digesting dietary fiber.

The combined effect of these three enzyme groups is to increase both the speed and quantity of carbohydrates being absorbed from your pre-workout meal.

Human beings can only digest some of the carbohydrates from the food we eat and many of them take so long as to almost defeat the purpose. The enzymes in Carbogen allow the human body to break down the bonds holding together complex carbohydrates and indigestible cellulose.

This means that a couple of hours after eating a meal with Carbogen, you’ll still have plenty of energy to burn.

Scientific Studies on Carbogen

One of the first major scientific studies to be performed on Carbogen was back in 2004 by 1st endurance. Throughout the test, 5 cyclists performed 2 hours of aerobic exercise after eating a meal replacement bar containing high amounts of both carbohydrates and dietary fiber.

Each participant performed the session twice, once with Carbogen the other with a placebo and their blood and perceived exhaustion were tested before during and after the testing.

What they found was that when a participant took Carbogen, as opposed to the placebo, their blood sugar remained elevated throughout the workout. The subjects’ lactate levels remained lower than usual and there was no rapid increase in insulin that would normally be expected with the rapid increase in blood sugar.

This means the energy was used immediately rather than being stored as fat. What this translated to was each participant managed to cycle intensely for an average of two minutes longer while on Carbogen.

The Benefits of Carbogen

The purpose of introducing Carbogen to your usual supplements is to increase the amount of fuel your body takes in. This is done by breaking complex carbs into simple sugars like glucose and allowing usually indigestible dietary fiber to be metabolized.
