How to Create an App Banner Alert
Within our Custom-branded fitness apps, you have the ability to assign banner-style announcements that will show on key pages in your apps. This guide walks you through creating an App Banner Alert to show as a banner image on the Dashboard and Plans pages in your apps. Follow these instructions to set up a banner that you can display in your app to share updates and announcements.
1. Click the “Automations” tab.
Sign in to your business account and click on the Automations tab.
2. Click on the “Create New Automation” dropdown and select “Assign App Banner Alert”.
Click on the “Create New Automation” dropdown and select “Assign App Banner Alert”.
3. Click the pencil icon next to “no App Banner selected”.
Click the pencil icon next to the “no App Banner selected” message to open the edit view.
4. Click the “Manage App Alerts” link.
Click the “Manage App Alerts” link to open the app alerts creator view.
5. Click the “New App Alert” button.
Click on the “New App Alert” button.
6. Click the “Banner” app alert type.
Choose the “Banner” option on the pop-up window since you are creating an App Banner Alert. You will be able to change alert type in the editor if you want to.
7. Add a title to your App Banner Alert.
Add a descriptive title to your App Banner Alert so it’s easy for staff members to know which App Alert to send or assign later. The App Alert name won’t be visible to your customers.
8. Add your Short Banner Image (1200×375).
Upload your Short Banner Image. The ideal dimensions are 1200 pixels by 375 pixels.
The Short Banner Image is required, and will serve as a fallback if you don’t add a Tall Banner Image. The Short Banner Image is what will display on your app’s main Dashboard view.
9. Your Short Banner Image will be displayed on the preview.
Once it’s uploaded, your Short Banner Image will be displayed on the preview.
10. Add a Tall Banner Image (1200×675).
Next up, let’s add a Tall Banner Image. The ideal dimensions are 1200 pixels by 675 pixels.
The Tall Banner Image will be displays on the Plans page in your app, but is not required.
If you don’t add a Tall Banner Image, the Short Banner Image will be used on the Plans page as a fallback.
11. Add a destination link to the Banner Action field.
Add a destination link to the Banner Action field. This is the page your customers will be taken to when they tap on the App Banner.
12. Use the Preview options to get an idea of how your App Banner Alerts will look in your apps.
You can use the Preview buttons at the bottom of the preview area to get an idea of how your App Banner Alerts will look in your apps.
13. Click the “Save” button to save your new App Banner Alert.
Click the “Save” button to save your new App Banner Alert. It won’t be visible to customers until you actually set it up to display in your apps with an Automation.
